    Our Story

Adelaide River Farms grew from a family’s long history in the cattle and meat trade. For our founder, Paul Richard B. Alcoreza, livestock was part of everyday life long before it became his profession.

Paul grew up in Tondo, Manila, where his father, Delfin Alcoreza, traded cattle and his mother, Nora Alcoreza, worked as a butcher.

He spent his childhood around the wet markets, watching how animals were bought, how meat was prepared, and how traders built relationships with their customers. By high school, he was trading cattle carcasses and working with slaughterhouses and wet market vendors. He learned the business firsthand, one transaction and one working day at a time.

Paul later served as Chief Operating Officer of Meatworld International, Inc., the Alcoreza family’s business. His work expanded into cattle farming, breeding, fattening, livestock sourcing and trading, butchery, and food service. These experiences gave him a view of the industry from several sides: the farmer raising the animal, the trader finding the right buyer, and the customer depending on a reliable supply.

He brought that knowledge to Adelaide River Farms in South Cotabato. The farm is part of a broader livestock business that breeds, raises, and fattens cattle; purchases and trades livestock; sources and imports animals for clients; and supplies cattle for slaughter. We also provide consultancy and agricultural products for people working in the industry.

Our clients come to us with different needs.

A farmer may need advice on selecting cattle or improving a fattening program. A breeder may be looking for suitable animals. A buyer or supplier may need a dependable partner who understands both the livestock and the transaction. We approach each conversation with the same care: understand the goal, assess the options, and give practical guidance based on experience.

Trust is earned over time. It grows when people can rely on your judgment, your word, and your willingness to stand behind your work. Those are lessons Paul learned from his parents in the wet markets of Tondo. They continue to guide Adelaide River Farms as we work with farmers, suppliers, and buyers today.
